Three Centres of Observation

β€œIn meditation, how do I feel these three centres of being, of experiencing, of perceiving today? Which one is more present?

The mental, logical, rational?

The emotional, feeling?

The intuitive, instinctual?

Where am I today?” - Danielle Woolley

Recently I thought it'd be interesting to distinguish where I feel the weight of my energy each time I meditate. Am I feeling more mental, emotional or intuitive today?

For me and in my therapy practice, meditation and mindfulness are resources that allow great opportunities for self awareness, healing and growth within the process of self discovery.

The reason I find meditation so useful and enriching is that it allows us to take a moment within often busy days to stop, breathe and train our minds to not fall into the trap of believing / attending to / reacting to our emotional states, thoughts and impulses. Sitting through this, allowing it to be there, but not reacting to it is a power tool that can slowly be put into practice in our daily lives too.
